Fire Ice Conspiracy - involves an extreme profit-oriented company and an overly ambitious US senator. They develop a method to harvest the methane gas from deposits of methane hydrate found under the Caribbean Sea, then use the gas to disrupt the economies of several South American countries. Their plan is to pressure those countries into giving up mineral rights and eventually full control of their land.
