John Haines is a fiction writer who believes in heroes--those who wear white hats and save the world from evil.
Born in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania he earned a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Penn State. Between his studies he served in the US Army as a counterintelligence analyst with assignments in Vietnam and Fort Hood, Texas
Before turning to writing, John built a successful career in logistics and transportation management with several large food companies, a role that allowed him to travel extensively and gain an appreciation for the beauty and diversity of the United States.
His passion for storytelling began with short stories to help coworkers better understand software, but it grew into something more after meeting the inspiration for his main character, Hound Dog.
John now lives in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, where he enjoys flyfishing and fine woodworking, especially crafting clocks.
